Registered psychologist; Diploma in Hypnotherapy (Ericksonian, taught by Gordon Young, Australian Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy); further hypnosis training (Dr Michael Yapko)

Experience

I have 40 years’ experience in counselling, beginning with couple counselling and including 12 years as a Family Court counsellor. I was profoundly influenced by luminaries such as Michael White, and practised what is now known as Narrative Therapy.

Since 2000 I have been in private practice and since 2012 I have been utilising hypnosis extensively as part of my therapy. I have found hypnotherapy to be particularly effective for assisting clients to manage anxiety and depression.

Commitment

There's a lot of suffering in the world and therapeutic work puts me at the front line.

It feels wonderful to witness the transformations clients manage to make in their lives; hypnotherapy can make the changes seem magical.

As they say, "the best way to have a great future is to create it".

What people are saying

[su_quote cite=”Angela Cartland” align=”left”]Wendy can always get to the heart of problems and concerns, and she does so with grace, perception, and a genuinely caring manner. She is so calm and positive – a safe harbour when life gets stormy and turbulent, where one can “repair the ship” and get ready to continue the voyage.[/su_quote][/su_column][/su_row]
